Pam Shaffer is a Los Angeles based singer/songwriter that reminds me sort of like Regina Spektor meets The Dresden Dolls. Her bio on myspace starts out with the line “A sexy librarian with a killer shoe collection”. That has to be one of the best lines I’ve read in a while! Pam has a show on Sunday the 5th at Echo Curio to celebrate the release of her new EP Hot Star Maps. Check it out!

For some reason this reminds me of high school. The Ropes are a NYC based duo with Sharon Shy singing and playing bass, and Toppy playing drums and guitar (that’s gotta be crazy to see them play live).
