The Books & Jose Gonzalez ~ “Cello Song”

Jose Gonzalez has the art of covering songs on lock down…
I am not a big fan of covers, unless the artist takes ownership of the song (think Hendrix’s cover of “All Along the Watchtower”) or if the cover is completely different form the original (think Ministry’s cover of “Lay Lady Lay”). Maybe it will also help bring more attention to Nick Drake, and that is always welcome. In this case, the song is for a good cause since it is on the “Dark Was the Night” compilation which is to benefit the Red Hot Organization which is out to raise funds and awareness to HIV and AIDS. There are 32 songs by some great artists, so check it out and get the album.
